COW POWER: Three years after moving into second place, Lancaster attained the top rank in the nation for cow concentration. There were more cows per square mile in Lancaster County - 109 - than in any other county in the United States. All the other counties on the top 10 list were in Wisconsin. (June 1, 1984)
