Article: Humane Society seeks animal cruelty charges again woman whose dogs were found in filthy conditions

ONTARIO - The odious house to seven mixed-breed dogs became more of a torture chamber than a safe haven.

Inland Valley Humane Society and SPCA officials last week served a search warrant at the house in the 400 block of Granada Court.

While officials were able save four dogs, the decaying house included three dead dogs.

Officials are seeking felony animal cruelty charges against owner Estee Brand, 38.

Animal investigators said they had tried unsuccessfully for a few weeks to contact Brand because of the filth that had built up at the house.

"She always had an excuse as to why she wasn't there," said Beth Les, humane investigator for the Inland Valley Humane Society.
