Andrew McCutchen went 2 for 4 with three runs scored, Jason
Jaramillo drove in a career-high four runs and Ramon Vazquez went 4
for 4 as the Nate McLouth-less Pirates beat the Mets, 11-6, at PNC
Park on Thursday afternoon.
It was the Pirates' fourth win in their past five games and gave
them a sweep of the Mets in the rain-shortened series.
In their first game since trading McLouth to Braves, the Pirates
led 4-0 after one inning and mashed Mets starter Mike Pelfrey (4-2)
for nine runs -- eight earned -- in 3 2/3 innings.
Steven Jackson (1-0) earned his first major league win, pitching
two innings of hitless relief.
