Article: CANTERBURY AGRICULTURAL PARK LIVESTOCK SALES

The prime-lamb market continued to be a strong performer for the most part at livestock sales at Canterbury Agricultural Park, Christchurch, this week.

Prices were mostly unchanged from last week except for super- heavy lambs. They were down $10 a head, but still made $130 to $140.

The store-lamb section had a better sale, driven by the quality of lambs offered, with the tops selling at $88 to $93 and the odd sale to $98.

Lighter heifers rose 10c/kg from last week in the prime-cattle market.
