Madison -- Joe Naylor is not a pack rat, but he kept a few things from his 2003-'04 tour in Iraq -- a medical pouch, shears he used to cut wounded soldiers' uniforms, stethoscope, hand-held electronic "Jeopardy!" game that helped pass the time.

A medic in the Army's 1st Infantry Division, Naylor packed the gear in his duffel bag when he left Fallujah never dreaming his stuff would someday end up in a museum exhibit.

"I remember going to the museum in Milwaukee when I was a kid, and I was fascinated by it. I visited the Wisconsin Veterans Museum three, four years ago. I never really ever thought I would be tied in to the museum in the future," said Naylor, 29, who grew up in Waupaca.
