La Crosse -- Tactically, it wasn't the race John Luterbach had dreamed of running. The finish, though, was perfect.

The Catholic Memorial junior didn't challenge his personal best Friday in the 3,200-meter run final at the WIAA Division 2 state track and field meet at UW-La Crosse's Veterans Memorial Stadium.
