THIS WEEK will be relatively quiet in terms of economic data,
with the main indicator of note being the consumer price index for
May, which is due out on Thursday.
Economists expect the figures to show that the rate of deflation
picked up pace due to the impact of the levies introduced in the
April Budget.
Monday
Results: Quiksilver.
Indicators: EU Sentix investor confidence (June); UK BRC retail
sales monitor (May) and RICS house price balance (May); German
factory orders (April); Japanese eco-watchers survey: current (May);
OECD harmonised unemployment rates and composite leading indicators.
Tuesday
Results: Movado; Norkom.
