Brazilian national team arrives in Recife after 14-year absence

RIO DE JANEIRO, June 7 (Xinhua) -- One day after beating Uruguay 4-0 in the South American World Cup qualifier, Brazil held their first practice in Recife on Sunday for their June 10 game against Paraguay.

It is the first time in 14 years that the city receives the national team.

Hours after the historic victory in Uruguay, the national team arrived in Recife, one of the 12 Brazilian cities selected to be host cities for the 2014 World Cup.
