Archive service launched
Preserving The Past, a photographic and film archival service,
opened earlier this week on East Avenue in Rochester.
The company specializes in preserving, digitizing and "cold
storing" private, corporate, institutional and fine art photographic
and film collections.
Owner Taylor Whitney established her business in California in
1997. She came to Rochester in 2005 in order to study at the George
Eastman House, and decided to operate her business here.
As business increases, Whitney said she hopes to hire graphic
designers, archivists, and other employees. She also hopes to expand
