SAN BERNARDINO - The community is invited to the San Bernardino
City Unified School District's annual family and community reading
festival from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Carousel Mall.
During the festival, district third-grade students who are
reading at grade level will receive a certificate from their teacher
and community leaders. Students will also receive a free book, from
which the student will read an excerpt to a guest listener.
"Reading is the foundation that all other knowledge is built
