CAPE TOWN, South Africa, June 10 (Xinhua) ? The Africa Progress
Panel (APP) led by former UN chief Kofi Annan issued an appeal on
Wednesday to African leaders, urging them to change the world
economic downturn into an opportunity on the basis of shared
responsibility with their international partners.
The organization said in the report that the unfolding financial
crisis has underscored Africa's vulnerability, although the
continent has made tremendous and solid progresses for a decade. It
