Article: Finalists in DDN story and poetry contest announced

The writers did their work, and now the judges have done theirs.

Judging is complete for the 13th Dayton Daily News Short Story and Poetry Contest, for which we received more than 600 entries from across the Miami Valley.

Published here today are the names of the finalists in the contest. From these works will be selected the winning stories and poems, which will be published at DaytonDailyNews.com and in the Dayton Daily News on July 19-22 in the Life section.

Thanks to all the writers who entered. Judging this year was challenging, because of all the good work we received.
