LiDestri Foods to expand

Food manufacturer LiDestri Foods Inc. plans to expand and is considering facilities in Greece and South Carolina.

The company may purchase a 652,090 square-foot facility on 45 acres in the Eastman Business Park in Greece.

The project, if it goes ahead, will include the purchase and renovation of the building at a cost of $5.15 million. An additional $5.35 million would be spent on equipment and other expenses.

LiDestri is also considering a facility in South Carolina. The company operates production facilities in Fairport, Dundee, New Jersey and California.

The expansion at Eastman Business Park would impact 425 jobs and create 60 full-time jobs over three years.
