So, does it really taste like apple pie?

The short answer, according to a casual taste test of the Ritz Mock Apple Pie conducted in-house, is "sort of." But that doesn't mean that it tastes bad.

In fact, the Ritz pie, with its infusion of lemon and cinnamon, has its own charms, which, depending on your mood, are either masked or enhanced by the knowledge that you are eating a pie made out of crackers.

Some of our tasters felt that if they hadn't known they were eating a Ritz-filled pie, they might be inclined to believe that it was an apple pie, one made with very soft apples that had disintegrated during the baking.
