A Caribbean takeaway has been shut down after mouse droppings
were found on food trays and paper bags.
Environmental health officers visited Di-Lick in Normanton Road,
Derby, and discovered a "serious" mouse infestation.
Droppings were littered across the premises, including in the
kitchen, two storerooms and a combined toilet and shower room.
A food hygiene inspection was then carried out and a hygiene
emergency prohibition notice served on owner Rohan Dubrey, ordering
immediate closure of the business.
Adam French, senior environmental health officer at Derby City
Council, applied for an order to keep the business closed until the
risk of health was removed. This was granted yesterday ...
