Article: Mice infestation at Derby takeaway caused "imminent" health risk

A Caribbean takeaway has been shut down after mouse droppings were found on food trays and paper bags.

Environmental health officers visited Di-Lick in Normanton Road, Derby, and discovered a "serious" mouse infestation.

Droppings were littered across the premises, including in the kitchen, two storerooms and a combined toilet and shower room.

A food hygiene inspection was then carried out and a hygiene emergency prohibition notice served on owner Rohan Dubrey, ordering immediate closure of the business.
