In one photograph, the light gleams off a still ocean with a
diving board silhouetted against the morning sun; California, maybe?
In another, luxury yachts are perfectly reflected in a pristine
harbour; closer to home - Dartmouth, perhaps?
Both wrong: it's Plymouth, but not as we know it, rather as a
city photographer has discovered, seeing his home in a new light.
"I was born and grew up here but it is only in the last 10 years
that I have explored the place," says Lee, aged 38, leafing through
his latest book, Portrait of Plymouth. "Before I was into
photography, I hardly gave the city a thought.
"I'm discovering places I didn't know existed."
