Devon will be on the defensive going into the final day of their
Minor Counties Championship game against Dorset at Torquay.
Skipper Bob Dawson was looking for parity - or something similar
to it - when Devon resumed their first innings on day two. A total
of 228 all out in reply to Dorset's 320 was not what he had in mind.
Dorset, 92 runs ahead on first innings, had extended their lead
to 274 at last night's close after reaching 182 for four in their
second innings.
Nick Park, who made a first-day century, only got as far as 25
second time around before nicking Adam Dibble to the waiting David
Lye in the slips.
