Bangladesh gov't to restructure intelligence agencies

DHAKA, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's prime minister Wednesday said the government has taken measures to restructure the country's intelligence agencies and strengthen coordination of their activities, local newspaper The Daily Star reported on its website.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina told the parliament this when replying a query at the parliament session here on Wednesday, the online report of the leading English-language newspaper said.

The probe committee formed by the government to investigate the country's border guards mutiny on Feb. 25-26 has earlier made recommendations to restructure the country's intelligence ...
