EU leaders discuss legal guarantees for Ireland on Lisbon Treaty

BRUSSELS, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Leaders from the 27 member states of the European Union (EU) are gathering here Friday for a second- day meeting, focusing on endorsing guarantees for Ireland on Lisbon Treaty and solutions to financial system reform.

In a press release on Friday, the Czech Presidency said it will support the adoption of guarantees for Ireland in a legally-binding form by the heads of state and government of the EU Member States.
