Chinese political advisors urged to continue study on tackling downturn

BEIJING, June 19 (Xinhua) -- China's political advisors were urged on Friday to continue studies and offer practical suggestions for the nation to cope with the impact of the global downturn.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), a political advisory body, made the call at the standing committee of the 11th CPPCC National Committee concluded its sixth meeting Friday.
