Hazel was a backpacker in Thailand when she agreed to be a junior artist in a Hindi film shoot in Bangkok, just for fun.

The British national knew then she wanted to be part of Bollywood. Hazel has been here four years and has starred in Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar.

First impressions: The poverty really hits you when you first arrive. I came with dreams in my eyes and I saw people living under flyovers and on dividers and I felt really humbled. But I really love the energy here. Everybody is trying something, doing something.
