The 31 members of the 23rd class of Leadership Contra Costa, an
eight-month civic leadership program presented by the Walnut Creek
Chamber of Commerce, went through their graduation ceremony June 4
at the Lafayette Park Hotel.
Leadership Contra Costa is designed to identify and prepare
potential community leaders.
The Walnut Creek Chamber sponsored its first leadership class 22
years ago and has since graduated more than 500 people from the
program. The curriculum includes presentations and workshops from
community leaders about critical issues facing the community,
including health & aging, "The Price of Justice," education; culture
