Russian president arrives in Nigeria for visit

ABUJA, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Russian president Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Abuja, Nigeria on Wednesday for a two-day visit to the African country as part of his African tour.

Medvedev was received on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ojo Maduekwe and other ministers.

The Russian president was received by Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua at the Presidential Villa.
