BrickStreet OK'd to write insurance in Ky.
BrickStreet Mutual Insurance Co. announced it has been approved
to write workers' compensation insurance in Kentucky.
BrickStreet took over the workers' compensation insurance
business from the state-run Workers' Compensation Commission on Jan.
1, 2006. BrickStreet was the sole provider of workers' compensation
insurance in West Virginia until last July, when the market opened
to other carriers.
Since Jan. 1, BrickStreet has been able to sell out-of-state
coverage for West Virginia policyholders through a partnership with
Argonaut Insurance Co. Greg Burton, BrickStreet's president and
