Woody Faust used to press his face against the windows of the old
Watt & Shand department store, peering inside.
Faust, who grew up in Easton and often vacationed in Lancaster as
a child, remembers his sadness when the store closed and the
building stood empty.
"After Watt & Shand, that area, downtown, kind of lost its life,"
he says.
Now there is life again behind those windows - and it first took
shape in Faust's mind.
Faust is president of Design Continuum Inc., the Atlanta-based
firm that designed the interior of the week-old Lancaster County
Convention Center and Marriott hotel.
