World Heritage Committee removes Azerbaijan's Baku from Danger List

SEVILLE, Spain, June 25 (Xinhua) -- The World Heritage Committee decided on Thursday to remove Azerbaijan's Baku site from the danger list of UNESCO (Unite Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).

The move at the 33rd Session of the World Heritage Committee here in south Spin is to recognize the country's success in preserving the Walled City of Baku with the Shirvanshahs' Palace and Maiden Tower.
