PROVO -- The future of Utah Lake seems bright, but it's only a
start.
Utah Lake Commission chairman and Provo mayor Lewis Billings said
that the words, "we've only just begun," of Carpenters fame came
readily to mind Friday afternoon during a Utah Lake Master Plan
adoption ceremony at the Utah Lake State Park in Provo.
"The good news today," he said, "Is we've begun."
Over the past year and a half, the commission, composed of local
and state government leaders and in cooperation with the Utah
Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands, has worked to put
together a guiding document for management of Utah County's largest
