Article: Leavers arrive in style for Severn vale school's prom night

A FIRE truck, sports cars, vintage cars and even a lorry were all on hand to ferry students to their end of school prom.

The pupils, from Severn Vale School in Quedgeley, were celebrating finishing their GCSEs at the event at the Ramada Hotel in Matson on Friday evening.

The pupils tried to find the flashiest mode of transport to arrive in style for their big night.

Mark Nichols, head of Year 11, said: "It seemed a lot of the boys were trying to outshine each other, and they were trying to find the best and most original way of arriving."
