WOOSTER -- Boys' Village School's budding artists found an
appreciative audience for their work -- an art auction held in
conjunction with the recent Celebration Day, held on the Wooster
campus of The Village Network.
It featured virtual newcomers -- students who hadn't previously
participated in the annual auction, or hadn't even painted before,
the school's art teacher, Shannon Rieger, said.
The pieces she chose were made by students who were "interested
... invested ... or need(ed) a boost of self-esteem," she said,
adding, it's helpful for them to see they are doing something worthy
of someone else's attention.
