Henry Gibson is urging families to be aware of the symptoms of
dementia so they can spot the condition early if it strikes their
loved ones.
When the 19-year-old's father David, from St Marks, Chelten-
ham, started getting confused and forgetful his family and doctors
initially did not know the cause.
It wasn't until he was admitted to hospital after suffering a
heart attack last summer that tests revealed the 60-year-old former
teacher was suffering from vascular dementia.
Now Henry and his sister Maud, 21, want to raise awareness that
the disease can affect younger people.
