Thailand's CPI for June drops 4.0 pct year on year

BANGKOK, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's consumer confidence index (CPI) for June stood at 104.7, a 4.0 percent decline year on year, but it was 0.4 percent higher than that of May, the Ministry of Commerce said Wednesday.

The country's average CPI during the first six months (January- June) of 2009 declined 1.6 percent year on year, the Ministry said, Krungthep Turakij Online, Thai language news agency reported.
