Online complaint system unveiled to monitor airport noise

LOS ANGELES, July 1 (Xinhua) -- The Los Angeles city agency that manages Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and two other airports launched a new online noise complaint system on Wednesday for residents living near the facilities.

The system, known as WebTrak, will be overseen by the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), which manages LAX and two nearby airports -- the Ontario International and Van Nuys airports, according to a statement from LAWA.

The system will allow users to identify loud airplanes flying in or out of the three airports and report them to LAWA on the organization's website, the statement said.
