New York to help high-profile building owners enhance security against terror attacks

NEW YORK, July 1 (Xinhua) -- The New York Police Department ( NYPD) handed out a report Wednesday to help the owners of high- profile buildings in the city to strengthen security against possible terror attacks.

The NYPD handed out copies of a 100-page report at the city police headquarters and at a conference for real estate owners and private security personnel.

"The same qualities that make the city's buildings recognized icons of design, culture and commerce also make them continuous targets of terrorism," New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said in a foreword for the report.
