Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) announced it recently received a
Platinum Engineering Excellence award from the American Council of
Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York) in the category of
Structural Systems.
The Engineering Excellence awards are given based upon
advancement, originality, and the project's value for the
engineering profession as well as society as a whole.
SGH explained that the New Museum of Contemporary Art was
designed to be as bold and daring as the art it showcases. As the
structural engineer of record and facade consultant, SGH played an
integral role in transforming the architectural conceptual design
