MILLERSBURG -- Before the Holmes County Expo Center opened there
were plans to move the county fairgrounds and build a convention
center on the new site.
May's announcement that the Holmes County Expo Center would close
after only a year in business, brought back discussion of a combined
fairgrounds and expo center.
The fair board received $200,000 in 2008 to relocate the
fairgrounds. To keep the funding, the board has to remove structures
that are in the flood way.
Fair board President Kerry Taylor said the board has had no solid
conversations with prospective land owners. But, the board has been
