Article: Weymouth man, 88, robbed in his driveway ; Suspect, 43, choked victim, police say

WEYMOUTH - The robber reached through a partially car open window and started choking the 88-year-old man who had just parked in his own driveway.

"Swear to God, I'll kill you," the robber said. "Give me your wallet."

The man had pulled into the driveway at his home in a North Weymouth neighborhood just before 7 p.m. Friday when a white car pulled in behind him, Weymouth police Detective Sgt. Rick Fuller said.

A man got out of the second car, reached in the driver-side window and grabbed the older man by the throat.

After getting the wallet, which had cash and credit cards in it, the man drove away.

Later that evening, one of the credit cards was used to buy alcohol at RK Mart on Broad ...
