Sheboygan -- In 1950, when Leonard Nemschoff founded his company, more than a dozen furniture companies operated in this manufacturing center once known as "Chair City."

Today, Nemschoff Inc. is the only company that remains -- and it has done much more than just survive.

In the past decade, the company has roughly tripled its sales, with revenue topping $90 million last year. It also became one of the top suppliers of furniture for the health care industry. And it made itself into an attractive acquisition.
