Glenise Harding, of Chapel Street, Forsbrook, reminisces about a
close bond with a school pal that continued into the world of
work...
Getting a job for the first time is daunting for anyone. But for
Glenise Harding, the transition from school to work was eased thanks
to her best pal, Margaret Mason, being by her side.
Glenise Abbotts and Margaret Findler, as they were known then,
had been friends since the age of three. And at the age of 15, the
teenagers started working for AG Richardson, at the Britannia
Pottery, in Cobridge.
"We both lived near each other in Middleport as children," says
Glenise, now aged 73.
"We must have clicked and then ended up playing together and we'd
