"Green" energy is an emerging industry.
Students from the Fayette Vo-Tech, Uniontown, have brought this
industry to Fayette County by constructing a windmill that helps
power the school's greenhouse.
Alan Loy, adviser at the Fayette Vo-Tech, said he believes that
green energy is key to the nation's future.
"We want our students to be a part of this development," he said.
The windmill is a Skystream 3.7, vertical axis windmill. It
rotates in the direction of the wind. It is adjacent to the school's
greenhouse, which enables the windmill to supplement the power to
the greenhouse. Skystream works in tandem with the electric utility
