Article: Sullivan resumes career with Can-Am Tornadoes

Arlington's Anthony Sullivan, a 19th-round 2005 draft pick of the Los Angeles Angels out of St. John's University, is putting his professional baseball life back together with the Worcester Tornadoes of the independent Can-Am League.

Sullivan, a right-handed reliever who was leading the Tornadoes with six saves through last weekend, underwent Tommy John (elbow ligament replacement) surgery on his pitching arm two years ago, sidelining him for nearly a year.

Granted his release from the Angels, the former Arlington High baseball and hockey standout signed on with Worcester in 2008 and was 3-1 with a 2.57 earned run average, striking out 22 batters in 21 innings. His numbers this year through ...
