Article: Indictment made in fraud at Harvard Hillel

A former accountant for Harvard University's Hillel House, a Jewish student organization, stole about $780,000 over five years and spent the money on sports tickets and trips, the state's attorney general said.

A Middlesex County grand jury indicted William O'Brien, 58, of Framingham on charges of larceny, forgery, and failing to file tax returns, Attorney General Martha Coakley said in a statement. Melissa Monahan, a spokeswoman for Harvard Hillel, confirmed the nonprofit group was the victim.
