Whether a group is two or 200 people, they won't find a better
place in Christchurch for a midwinter gathering than the Signature
restaurant at Sign of the Takahe - especially at night, says co-
owner and manager Mark Bouvet.
"It's beautiful during the day, of course, with expansive views
over the city, the plains and the snow-capped alps but it is
particularly magical at night.
"You're not only looking out over the lights of the city but you
also have all the ambience of sitting down to a feast in a historic,
fairytale castle. With the fire roaring and candles lit on all the
tables, it really is unbelievable. There's nothing else like it."
