Greek annual inflation at 0.5 percent in June

ATHENS, July 7 (Xinhua) -- Greek annual inflation was 0.5 percent in June, compared with the same month last year, Greek National Statistical Service (NSS) said on Tuesday.

The statistics agency attributed the 0.5 percent increase of the consumer price index to a 3.0 percent increase in food and beverage prices, a 6.4 percent rise in alcohol and tobacco prices, a 2.9 percent increase in clothing and footwear, an 1.7 percent rise in durable goods, a 2.8 percent rise in health prices, an 1.0 percent increase in entertainment prices, a 4.7 percent rise in education, a 2.2 percent increase in hotel prices and a 2.4 percent ...
