JAKARTA, July 10 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian military received 40 armored vehicles indigenously made by Indonesian Army's Industry Center (PINDAD), Indonesian military (TNI) spokesman Sagom Tamboen said on Friday.

"Those 40 armored vehicles are part of 150 ones ordered by TNI to PINDAD. With the incoming of the 40 armored vehicles, TNI now uses 60 ones," the Antara news agency quoted Sagom as saying on Friday.

The indigenous armored vehicle is codenamed Anoa APS (Angkutan Personel Sedang/Adequate Troops Carrier).

The Anoa is named after an indigenous buffalo living in Indonesia.
