Sweden ponders on suspended funds to Zambia's health sector

LUSAKA, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Sweden, which recently suspended funding to Zambia's health ministry due to alleged abused of funds, has said it was pondering on the issue to see its implications on ordinary citizens, local newspaper Zambia Daily Mail reported on Thursday.

Swedish Ambassador to Zambia Marie Anderson de Frutos said in Lusaka on Wednesday that a working committee had been set up to look at the withholding of 10 million euros (13.8 million U.S. dollars) to find its implications on ordinary Zambians and solutions to the problem.
