Local Catholic business and religious leaders say it's hard to
quibble with the underlying principles of Pope Benedict XVI's latest
encyclical, that human dignity and personal ethics must inform
economic decisions.

longstanding positions on social justice issues, to profoundly
affect the way business is conducted in the United States or the
world. The encyclical, Benedict's third such document, was issued
Tuesday.
"I don't think it's going to undermine capitalism or overturn the
stock market," said Auxiliary Bishop William P. Callahan, acting
administrator of the Milwaukee Archdiocese until Benedict names a
new archbishop.
