Raymond Lee Jewett may have been the president and CEO of Liquid
Metronics, but he refused to use the desk in his office, opting
instead for a countertop space, where he could stand to catch his
breath before moving on to his next on-the-go task.
He often started his conversations with: "What small thing can I
do for you," and made it a point to get his company, which produced
metering pumps for swimming pools and industrial projects, to stay
on good terms with its customers.
"He had an exceptional vocabulary and a way with words that was
almost unique - he was able to talk with anyone about anything,"
