A great many people

let Americans down

I read recently that many people are becoming angry at the banking industry, and I am one of them, but my anger goes out not only to the banking industry but also to inept bookkeepers who send out notices and liens on properties and realize it is their mistake, not ours.

The fraud and corruption was rampant. The lending of money from the banks to investors and hedge funds was staggering. And billions, if not trillions, were lost due to inept figures who oversaw the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and countless more federal and state agencies and legislators who did nothing to protect our American dollar and our best interest.
