Poland waiting for Ireland vote to sign Lisbon Treaty: president

WARSAW, July 13 (Xinhua) -- Polish President Lech Kaczynski said on Monday he would sign the EU's Lisbon Treaty when Ireland votes to accept it.

Kaczynski met here with his German counterpart Horst Koehler and the two presidents discussed, among others, the question of the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty for EU reforms.

"I have once again repeated that I will sign the Lisbon Treaty on the day when our Irish friends accept this treaty, or more specifically on the day of announcement of official results," the Polish news agency PAP quoted Kaczynski as saying.
