Mike Van Sickle got to see his name on the leader board at the
John Deere Classic last week.
Now, the goal is to keep it up there for more than a dozen holes.
Van Sickle, 21, the recent Marquette University graduate and Big
East Conference player of the year, is in the U.S. Bank Championship
field on a sponsor's exemption.
He made his PGA Tour debut last week at TPC Deere Run and birdied
four of his first 11 holes to get to 4 under par. At that point, he
was tied for ninth place, just two strokes off the lead.
"It was really exciting to see my name on the leader board," he
said.
The 21-year-old amateur wasn't prepared for the adrenaline rush
